This genuine antique 18ct Gold, Emerald and Pearl ring is Georgian Circa 1800.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
The stunning ring is adorned with five green Emeralds and accompanied by four lustrous Pearls.
Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love and has long been the symbol of hope.
The ring is beautifully engraved in 18ct Yellow Gold with a closed backed gallery which is typical of this era.
